After moving to Indiana from Wisconsin in 2011, Kathleen Gregerson’s family began attending Northview Church. After spending 20 years in children’s ministry, Kathleen thought she was ready for a break.

However, her love of kids didn’t let her stay away for long.

During Teams Weekend, her daughter nudged her to sign up to serve once a month in Northview Kids. Before long, Kathleen was serving weekly as a Team Lead and eventually was hired as the Early Childhood Coordinator for Northview Kids at the Carmel Campus.

As the Early Childhood Coordinator, Gregerson coordinates Northview Kids Team Members and schedules their events. With over 350 Team Members in her area, Kathleen works hard to make sure that each weekend the Early Childhood rooms are staffed and ready for services. She takes care of curriculum and helps with FX as well as other Northview Kids events. She’s also part of the team appreciation events committee.

“Kathleen has organized our Early Childhood ministry so well that each weekend every room has what it needs to run smoothly,” Karen Crull, Carmel Campus Northview Kids Director says.

“Her attention to detail is incredible! She strives for excellence in everything she does.”

Gregerson enjoys her team. “Our team is able to laugh and play and get stuff done. We accomplish a mass amount of work but connect so well.”

“Where there’s a weakness in one person, there’s a strength in another,” Gregerson says. “We all have different personalities, quirks, characteristics. It’s amazing how it all works together — totally a God thing. We have an awesome team!”

“Over the past five years, our Early Childhood ministry has grown in the number of kids, the number of Team Members and the number of classrooms. Kathleen has been instrumental in helping us maintain excellence through all this growth, which is impressive!” Crull says.

This energetic, southern-California native keeps life interesting with her hobbies. Gregerson is a National Rifle Association Range Safety Officer, fire arms instructor, part of The Well Armed Woman group — an all woman’s training group, a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Citizen Alumni and she holds a Federal Firearms License.

Gregerson loves to spend time with her family. She and Chris have been married 24 years.

“Chris is my absolute best friend and my rock,” Gregerson says. “He is one of the best gifts God has given me. He has shown and taught me what love truly looks like.” They have two children, Matthew, 22, and Lauren, 20. Matthew graduated college in May 2018. Lauren is in her second year at Grace College.

Though the Gregerson’s have moved a lot, they don’t plan on leaving Indiana. That’s good news for Northview. Kathleen, we hope you’re around for a long, long time!
